Hollywood Mural Project transforms blank walls across Los Angeles into bold, colorful public landmarks — connecting neighborhoods, celebrating Hollywood's creative identity, and building community pride one mural at a time.
Hollywood Mural Project is an ongoing public art and neighborhood beautification initiative founded by Los Angeles muralist Andrew Severns — and built in active collaboration with fellow artists, community partners, and arts administrators who share a vision for a more vibrant, culturally alive city.
HMP began with a simple observation: Hollywood has some of the most recognizable real estate in the world, and most of its walls are blank. We're changing that — one bold, colorful mural at a time.
Every installation is designed to reflect the energy, history, and diversity of the neighborhood it inhabits — drawing from the icons of the entertainment industry, the textures of street culture, and the faces of the communities who actually live and work here.
Hollywood Mural Project is fiscally sponsored by 11:11 Projects, a California 501(c)(3) arts nonprofit, allowing supporters to make tax-beneficial donations directly toward public art in Los Angeles.
